SKYPE PHONE SUPPORT AND DOWNLOADS
First Check:
On the USB Phone support side, 99% of the time it can be resolved by:
Are you running latest version of Skype: Download latest Skype
And latest driver/software for phone: Please review table below
Second Check:
Most NB places to check for Phone problems - 3 step support:
1. Check Skype and Phone Driver are latest versions and are running.
2. On Skype - Go to Tools – Options – Advanced TAB – Manage Other Programs Access to Skype (Make sure the relevant phone driver is Allowed to use Skype)
3. On Skype - Go to Tools – Options – General TAB -- Audio Settings – Make sure Audio IN; OUT and RINGING are set to the SKYPE PHONES NAME or USB AUDIO DEVICE.
Additional Problem:
I am not able to hear any sound/music through my computer speakers anymore:
On Windows – Go to Start Menu - Control Panel - Sound and Audio Devices – Audio TAB – set Sound Playback and Sound Recordings to your sound card (E.G. Realtek....) AND select/tick use only default devices.
This will keep all audio/music coming through your sound card and the phone will only be used for Skype (please refer to the above Step 3. for setting Skype device preference).
